Why iTunes Match and iCloud are better than Google Music

iTunes Match

Apple just launched iTunes Match a couple days ago and it is way better than anything Google Music has to offer. Even though Google’s Android is the majority of smartphone sales, iTunes is an iconic application that is installed on nearly every computer out there and Google Music is no threat to Apple at all. Why?

iTunes

Having a dedicated music application and store is much better than having to open a web browser every time you want to access your music library. Also, Google makes you use a dedicated uploader program to upload songs from your PC or Mac into Google Music. In other words, its not user friendly to even get started.

No uploading

The best part of iTunes Match is the way it saves you days (seriously) of time in uploading your songs. Apple simply reads your library and matches it with a high quality version straight from Apple servers as if you paid for it.

Store up to 25,000 songs

Google music only allows 20,000 songs. Clearly Apple wins.

All major music labels are on iTunes

Apple has all four major labels onboard whereas Google has decided to launch without having a deal finalized with Warner Music Group. If you want the best selection, iTunes wins hands down.

Works seamlessly with iOS devices

Apple has built in seamless integration within iOS 5 and the iPod Touch, iPad, iPhone and even Apple TV benefit from this. Simply put, you get access to your full music library at any time on the best portable devices available to consumers. Just tap the song and even if its not directly on the device, it’ll start playing almost instantly as long as you have a data connection, then stores it on the device for you. Don’t want it on your device anymore? Swipe to the right, hit Delete and its back in the iCloud and not wasting your precious storage.
