Where to find the serial number and IMEI number in iOS 5 using an iPhone 4S

Knowing where your serial number can be important for warranty purposes and registration with Apple so its good to know where its at. Also, if purchasing used hardware making sure the IMEI matches the receipt/original box is a good sign that this person isn’t trying to explicitly rip you off. So here is where they both are in iOS 5.

  • Open the ‘Settings’ app
  • Open the ‘General’ menu
  • Open the ‘About’ menu
  • Scroll down and there you find both of them
