In the midst of getting refreshed processors and ports, the MacBook Air and Mac Mini also got a bumped from Apple‘s standard Bluetooth 2.1 to Bluetooth 4.0, skipping the 3.0 specification altogether.
Bluetooth 4.0 offers lower-power advantages, higher speeds and a longer 160 ft. reach while still being able to use classic mode for legacy protocols.
This is the first time Apple has updated its Bluetooth spec in a few years so enjoy.
