Growth gap between Android and iOS may be over

A new survey is showing that the growth gap between Android and iOS may be slowing or possibly over.

As you can see above, the top chart shows smartphone OS percentage between February and April 2011. Android took 36% while iOS took 26%. Below it, the chart shows just March 2011 with Android taking 37% and iOS with 27%.

Fortune is suggesting that because of this lack of change, the Android OS growth gap may have stopped.

It’s a hard statement to make so quickly and with the overwhelming amount of Android devices being released on what seems like a weekly basis, Android still does have room for growth, but so does iOS.
