Is the bottom of your MacBook having difficulties? Well you’re in luck because Apple has just launched a MacBook Bottom Case Replacement Program.
Apple states:
Apple has determined that under certain circumstances the rubber surface on some MacBooks may separate from the bottom case of the system. MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011 may experience this issue.
If you bought a MacBook in that timeframe, Apple is offering to cover this service for two years from the original purchase date.
The replacement is free of charge and you get to choose on of the three following ways of receiving a replacement bottom:
- Set up an appointment with a Apple Store retail Genius to have it replaced
- Visit an Authorized Service Provider
- Order a replacement kit and do it yourself at your convenience
