A company named Redmere has invented a chip that will allow video and audio to be passed from the dock connector of an iOS device to a display with built in HDMI.
The benefit can be seen above, a single cable. No adapter or extra cables or anything. Simple.
Note that Redmere makes the chips and not the cables itself so it is too early to know exact pricing and availability (although they predict around July) but let’s hope it’s under the standard Apple pricing cause if not then what’s the point?
