ITC: Apple did not infringe on Nokia patents

Judge James Gildea of the International Trade Commission ruled today that Apple did not infringe on the 5 Nokia patents that they were accused of. You can see one of the five above.

Nokia filed the complaint in December 2009 citing that most of Apples products were infringing on their “pioneering innovations” related to cameras, battery life, touch panels, speakers and more.

Nokia sought to immediately stop shipments of the infringing products but it seems that for now Apple may be in the clear. The ruling must still be reviewed by a six-member commission of the ITC before it is officially shot down.

Apple has also filed complaints about Nokia using their patents but the results of those have not yet been revealed.
