LaCie has announced that their Little Big Disk SSD external storage drive will come with built in Thunderbolt ports. This isn’t your normal peripheral because it comes packed with 2 Intel 510 series Solid-State hard drives instead of the usual SATA drives we’re all used to.
There is a real world test video which has a computer feeding a Thunderbolt cable to a LaCie drive, then daisy chained to a TV. Check out the results for yourself below.

Thunderbolt was revealed yesterday and is now part of the MacBook Pro line-up. RAID storage, Promise Pegasus, is the first RAID to support Thunderbolt. Apple will get a year with Thunderbolt before PC makers get a chance to fight back. Read more on how Thunderbolt may improve the Mac experience.
