Patently Apple has discovered two patents granted to Apple both involving there input devices for computers.

First, the Magic Mouse will have a multi touch display that can be used for multiple purposes other than just clicking. It’s titled “ Computer Input Device Including a Display Device” and the above image shows a great example of how it can be used. Since your bluetooth keyboard does not have a num pad, why not display it on your Magic Mouse?

Second, entitled “Method and Apparatus for Localization of Haptic Feedback” focuses on tactile feedback of a virtual keyboard when keys are activated. It involves many actuators providing haptic feedback for individual keys on a virtual keyboard.

Could they bring the first good virtual keyboard? Time will tell.
